Design by UBER Winter Recap

WINTER RECAP •

Despite another lockdown, for our sister company Design by UBER, it has been business as usual (albeit with the team working remotely) and we’ve had a very busy winter period working on some exciting projects.

We were thrilled to hear the news that one of our recent projects had won various @cediahq awards – including the Global Best Integrated Home Award.

It was a pleasure as always to work with our friends at @thinksona on this fantastic project!

We were thrilled to be appointed to work on the refurb of Macclesfield FC. The exciting refurbishment requested by the board, which includes Robert Smethhurst and Robbie Savage, will see us transform everything from the changing rooms and gyms, to outstanding hospitality suites. We can’t wait to share updates from this exciting journey with you.

Commissioned by one of our private client’s, each of these exquisite homes are 20,000 sqft per plot and set within a gated community in the Lancashire countryside. We look forward to sharing the progress of this site, as each luxury super home takes shape.

Here are just one of the mood boards from a new and exciting commercial project that we are currently working on.

This fast-paced project consists of the complete renovation of the ground floor space of an incredibly unique and lavish five-star hotel.

We are completely transforming the key exterior aspects of the hotel, the entrance, the lobby, the washrooms and the two restaurants and bars!

We intend to enhance the natural beauty of the hotel’s landscape with the addition of outdoor planters and pergolas. The glass box reception will be the first thing that guests see upon arrival, illuminated trees will glow from behind the glass box, softening its exterior.

Guests can access an all-weather terrace via bi-folding doors, leading out from the first restaurant, complete with booth seating areas. This beautiful space will also feature a live cooking station.

A further outdoor area is accessible via the second restaurant and features an informal seating area for guests to enjoy – complete with fire pits.

Follow the journey of this project and many more @designbyuber

HOME BAR GOALS •

What better way to end your working week, than in your very own home bar! This stunning bespoke bar, is from one of our recently completed projects in the South of England.

We asked one of our lead interior designers – what was the inspiration behind the look?

“The Bar forms the central area of the Client’s Basement, and previously, it acted as a second Lounge with a small bar within an existing corner of the room. Whilst it had served it’s purpose for the last 10 years, the Client wanted a room that gave a much more dramatic impression, and could allow them to entertain their guests more easily.
Because you entered the space from stairs at Ground Floor flowing off the Main Entrance, we needed to keep the colour tones flowing throughout, and we wanted to give them a rich but homely look.”
